TWO NEW CLASSES STARTING AT TLC – TLC BOOK CLUB , CRASH COURSE IN JUDAISM, On Wednesday, October 23, at 7.30 p.m. we will be discussing the first book in our all new TLC Book Club Series. The first book is ‘My Sister, the Jew’ by Ahuva Gray, our recent guest lecturer. Special offer for all attendees – only $10 for the book (that’s 50% off the cover price!). Build your Jewish Library by joining the new TLC Book Club. Then at 8.15 p.m. I will be teaching the first class in the new Crash Course in Judaism. We recently added classes on the Chumash (Five Books of Moses), and the Reasons for the Mitzvos, Join us every Monday or Wednesday, at 8 p.m., for an hour of stimulating learning. BUFFET OF JEWISH THOUGHT – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30 – WORLDS IN COLLISION – ISRAEL, ISLAM AND THE WEST Our next Buffet of Jewish Thought will be on Wednesday, October 30. Our guest speaker is Rabbi Ken Spiro, a Masters Graduate in History from The Vermont College of Norwich University, now senior lecturer and researcher on Aish HaTorah outreach programs in Jerusalem, and licensed tour guide by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The Buffet will be at the Crowne Plaza – The Silversmith, 10 South Wabash Avenue. His topic is: Worlds in Collision – Israel, Islam and the West. topic will be: “WorldPerfect – The Jewish Impact on Civilization.”
